About That Last Post...
In the last post I tried experimenting with Rich text formatting in an email to see how it would look in Posterous. Overall I'm pleased with the result, here are some observations.
Color
You'll notice that changing the font's color did not work. I actually tried the post three different times, with three different colors, all from Apple's "web-safe" pallet. Still, I got no color change.
Font
I changed the font in that one line to a web-safe serif font, and also bumped up the size. As you can see, that worked great.
Everything Else
Everything else I tried worked, too. Size changes, bold, italic, and indented text looked good. As did the bulleted list, though line spacing before and after the bulleted list was off. I needed a blank line at the beginning of the list, but did not need one at the end (it gave me two blank lines), in order to get it to look like you see it now.
I wonder if the Rich Text in another email client would perform differently on any of the above items.
I usually don't use more than the occasional bold, italic and bulleted list in my posts. Still, it's nice to see what I can do in an email that will transfer correctly to the blog.
Finally, Posterous has its own web editor, and you can change the color, justification etc. like other blogs allow. That's fine, but I was drawn to Posterous because of how it makes emailing a blog post so simple, so I'm focusing my attention on just how far I can utilize those abilities.
